  Home :: Baha'i Holy Places

We have been fortunate enough to visit several Baha’i Holy Places in order to take Baha’i photos, capturing the elegant architecture for which the Baha’i Faith is known. Our sojourn to the Baha’i Temple of Wilmette in Illinois is recorded in these striking Baha’i photos. We offer detailed views of the Baha’i temple itself as well as the artfully sculpted Baha’i gardens that add life to the meditative surroundings.

A pilgrimage to the Bahai World Centre in Haifa, northern Israel, allowed time for us to capture Baha’i photographs of the precious Shrine of Baha’u’llah and the inspiring Shrine of the Bab. We also captured images of the exquisite Baha’i Gardens in Haifa and at Bahji, the awe-inspiring Baha’i terraces above and below the Shrine of the Bab, and other places important to the Baha’i Faith.

The Shrine of the Bab (whose name means “the Gate”) is the sacred Baha’i shrine where the remains of this young Persian Prophet were finally laid to rest. The Bab is seen as the Herald of the coming of Baha’u’llah, known to the Baha’i Faith as today’s Messenger of God not only for the Baha’i community, but for all faiths. The Shrine of Baha’u’llah, located in Bahji near the city of Haifa in Israel, is where this Divine Teacher was laid to rest. These are regarded as two of the most sacred Baha’i shrines in the world. We have attempted to render in exquisite detail the majesty of the edifices at the Baha’i World Centre in our many Baha’i photos. Surrounded by the tranquil Baha’i Gardens at both Bahji and Haifa, highlighted by the elegant Baha’i terraces, one cannot help but feel the gentle openness and patient calm of the Baha’i Faith, captured in each of these Baha’i pictures.

The Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois, was designed by Canadian architect Louis Bourgeois as the first Baha’i Temple in North America. Intended as a place of public worship open to people of all faiths for prayer and meditation, it is among the most striking Baha’i Temples in the world. It is shown in all its glory in these Baha’i photographs. A symbol of unity not only for Baha’i Faith but for all religions, the Baha’i House of Worship is a testament to excellence, beauty, and unity. It sets a shining example of the oneness of all religions and the virtues within the Baha’i teachings and those of other Faith traditions. Masterfully photographed and rendered in the highest detail, these Baha’i pictures will add grace to any home, drawing the eye, engaging the mind, and touching the heart.
